Martha Ford - 69 year old woman homeless!

Yesterday afternoon, I got a very disturbing phone call from a young lady that reported that a 69 year old woman had to sleep in the Walmart Parking Lot in Richmond, VA for the last 2 months!

During a break from work, I made some phone calls to figure out how we could help this lady. I got the same answers as I got 8 years ago when we were in the same situation with a male senior that became homeless. There are waiting lists to get placed - sometimes up to 4 years...

I made an appointment after work with Martha - the homeless woman at a local restaurant to get her a warm meal, and I agreed to place her in a hotel at least for the next 2 nights to give her some shelter, and to gain some time to find other solutions.

We are looking for:

Monetary donations to keep her in a warm place (hotel) and get her some extra food
